As big time luxury car enthusiasts, we’re big fans of Ferrari and the stunning automobiles they’ve put out over the past few decades. Some of which are the epitome of a “collectable.” Now, with that being said, let’s break down our top 10 favorite Ferrari models that were released between 1985 and 2015.
1. Ferrari 458 – Released in 2009, the Ferrari 458 resembled the Porsche Boxter. Even with its cab forward silhouette, this model still had a nice balance between that element and the traditional Ferrari style. Looking into the details, this model Ferrari has 458 LED headlights, a tri-tipped exhaust, as well as a glassed in engine cover.
2. Ferrari 599 GTO – As a limited edition vehicle, the 599 GTO was released as the most beautiful vehicle Ferrari had produced as of its 2006 debut. Even with being a high performance GTO model, the Ferrari 599 isn’t crazy in design, but it has heavy styling that didn’t stray too far away from the classic Ferrari racing image.
3. Ferrari F12 Berlinetta – Upon its 2012 release, all a luxury sports car enthusiast needed to see were the photos of the F12 Berlinetta. With a stretched silhouette that resembled Daytona racing, the muscular looking fenders were definitely designed as a tribute to the Ferrari Dino. There are also aspects of this Ferrari that are homage to the 250 TR.
4. Ferrari 288 GTO – As one of the first limited edition models that Ferrari put out, only 272 Ferrari 288 GTO’s were produced in 1984. The shape wasn’t too innovative because it strongly resembled the 308 GTB, but whatever roots of the 288 GTO, this muscular car still stood apart from a majority of the other models Ferrari put out during the 1980s.
5. Ferrari 275 GTB 4 Berlinetta – Now, this is one of the REAL Ferrari classics. This is one of those cars that people take photos of when they see them parked in the street outside a nice 5-star restaurant. It’s the car you’ll constantly be complimented on because of the condition you keep it in, not to mention it’s just an amazing looking classic.
6. Ferrari 250 TR – Released in 1957, this bad boy is a true classic. Ralph Lauren even has one of these collectibles within his legendary luxury car collection. The 250 TR is one of the most expensive cars ever sold at auction, selling for $16.4 million.
7. Ferrari 365 GTS Daytona – You may have seen this car in Miami Vice (or at least a duplicate of one), the 365 GTS Daytona was Ferrari’s way to deliver the public a modernized vehicle that still represented luxury.
8. Dino 246 GTS – While the Dino isn’t necessarily a Ferrari, it was the company’s first mid-engine vehicle that was powered by a V-6 engine. Named after founder Enzo Ferrari’s late son, the Dino is the one Ferrari model that wasn’t influenced by the other vehicles the company manufactured.
9. Ferrari 250 GTO – Remember how we said that the 288 GTO was a limited edition Ferrari, well the 250 GTO is really a limited edition one since only 39 were manufactured between 1962 and 1964. As one of the rarest vehicles Ferrari has produced, the 250 GTO won three FIA world championships and is valued at $31 million.
10. Ferrari 250 GsamT Lusso – This elegant coupe model is one of the first Ferrari’s labeled as a luxury vehicle. Sold at auction for around $2.3 million, the 250 GT Lusso has elegant leather upholstery, subtle chrome accents, and an unmatched level of refinement.
